Processing of applications 2018
A total of 86 applications were submitted to SIU by the deadline 31 May 2018.
The applications were submitted by 17 different higher education institutions in Norway, and include a wide range of partner institutions and organisations in 26 different NORPART partner countries. Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania and Nepal were the most commonly represented partner countries.
The total amount applied for was NOK 406 million. Approximately NOK 90 million is available for allocation in this year’s call for applications.
The applications will now be assessed according to the selection criteria as listed in the Call for applications. The Programme Board for NORPART will make the final decision on the allocation of funds in their meeting scheduled to be held 22 October. The result of the application process will be presented on this webpage late October or early November.
Selected projects will run for a period of five years from 2019-2023.
The next Call for applications is foreseen in 2021.

SIU has published a NORPART Start-up report for 2017.
Allocation of five-year projects 2017-2021
The application deadline for five-year projects between higher education institutions in Norway and developing countries expired 5 September 2016.
A total of 114 eligible applications from 19 higher education institutions in Norway had been received by SIU within the deadline. Out of these, a total of 21 projects have been selected for funding by the Programme Board for NORPART. The total amount applied for was approx. NOK 550 million, and the available amount for the 2016 call was approx. NOK 97 million.
