Russia Programme

The Norwegian Cooperation Programme in Higher Education with Russia supports cooperation between universities and university colleges in Norway and Russia.

Call for Applications 2018

The Cooperation Programme with Russia will announce a new call for applications in 2018.

The total available funding in the call amounts to approximately 3 million NOK. Each project may receive up to 300 000 NOK for limited cooperation projects to be implemented in the years 2019-2020.

The application deadline is 25.09.2018, 15:00 Norwegian time.

Call for Applications 2017

At the application deadline, 01.11.2017, SIU received 35 applications for funding of long-term cooperation projects between Norwegian and Russian higher education institutions.

In their meeting 06.02.2018, the Russia Programme Board decided to grant support to 11 Norwegian-Russian cooperation projects in higher education for the years 2018-2020. See Cooperation Programme with Russia 2017 - Projects selected for support for more information.

Who may apply?

Eligible participants in the programme are accredited higher education institutions in Norway and in Russia. Read more under Application.

Goals

The overall goal of the Russia Programme 2017-2020 is to strengthen long-lasting knowledge cooperation in areas of shared interest between Norway and Russia.

The Russia Programme is managed by the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) on the basis of an agreement with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

The Russia Programme has in the period 2011-2016 funded 14 long-term projects and 43 limited projects, at a total amount of 53,9 million NOK. Details about the supported projects are available in SIU's project database
