In November 2016, SIU and Mitacs signed an agreement for a new program: The Norway-Canada Globalink Partnership Award (Globalink).
The goal of Globalink is to strengthen international research collaborations between leading industry and academic organizations in Norway and Canada.
The Globalink Partnership Award provides:
- An opportunity for Canadian and Norwegian researchers to connect with each other and with global industry.
- International research experience for the participating student, who undertakes a 16- to 24-week research project at the industry partner’s offices or facilities (and applicable participating universities)
- A $15,000 CAD research grant in the Canadian professor’s name to support student travel and accommodation expenses, research-related expenses, and student stipend.
