Nordic-Russian cooperation

The Nordic Council of Ministers is in a dialogue with Russian authorities about the development of a joint Nordic-Russian programme in education and research based on mutual interests and joint priorities and shared funding.

The main objective of the programme is to strengthen Nordic-Russian cooperation in education through mobility of teachers and students, study trips, joint courses and other activities aimed at long-term cooperation.

A call for proposal for Nordic-Russian cooperation was issued on 22 October 2009.

Who may apply?

Funding is available for preparatory cooperative activities between the Nordic countries and Northwest Russia at all levels of education and for the participation of Russian institutions in partnerships funded by the Nordplus framework programme. Please see the call document for further information.

Geographical scope

Please note that institutions in the following areas in Russia can be included in applications:
Kaliningrad Oblast, Pskov Oblast, Novgorod Oblast, Leningrad Oblast, St. Petersburg, Karelia, Murmansk Oblast and Arkhangelsk Oblast.
