Pakistan PhD programme
In 2006 Norway was included as a country of destination for candidates in Pakistan’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for PhD in Selected Fields.
The scheme is financed and managed by the Pakistani Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Programme objectives
The stated aim of the programme is to improve Pakistan’s national research capacity. SIU acts as national programme office in Norway.
Who may apply?
Admission to PhD studies in Norway is highly competitive, and only candidates with outstanding academic records will be considered for enrolment. Please note that all issues concerning acceptance for PhD studies should be directed to the respective institutions and that SIU is not involved in any of the admission procedures.
Please note that no new scholars will be admitted to studies at Norwegian institutions through the HEC programme.
