Project funds for cooperation with China
Norwegian institutions of higher education are invited to apply for funding for projects related to higher education collaboration with institutions in China.
The overall aim of the project funds is to support reinforcement of existing collaboration initiatives between Norwegian institutions of higher education and institutions of higher education in China. The project funds are provided by the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research and managed by the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU).
A total of NOK 2 million is available through the call. SIU encourages Norwegian institutions to form partnerships in order to establish viable relations to the Chinese partner. Projects with one Norwegian partner may apply for funding up to NOK 250 000, projects with two Norwegian partners may apply for funding up to NOK 500 000. All project activities must be completed by December 2013.
Allocations
By the deadline on April 20, SIU had received 20 applications for funding. The allocation committee met on June 18 to allocate funding for cooperation projects with China.
