Cooperation Programme with Russia 2011-2016

The Norwegian Cooperation Programme in Higher Education with Russia supports collaboration between universities and university colleges in Russia and Norway.

The overall goal of the Russia Programme is to contribute to the development and strengthening of long-lasting cooperation between Norwegian and Russian institutions of higher education within the following academic areas:

  • Humanities
  • Social sciences
  • Business development
  • Petroleum
  • Maritime studies
  • Climate and energy
  • Environmental sciences and sustainable use of resources
  • Health

The academic areas also apply for professional studies.

The Russia Programme is managed by the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU) on the basis of an agreement with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Get more details under About the programme.

Who may apply?

Eligible participants in the programme are accredited higher education institutions in Norway and in Russia. Read more under Application.

Project funding 2012

In its meeting October 29, 2012, the Russia Programme Board granted support for limited cooperation activities to 14 projects.

Eight projecs were granted funding for long-term cooperation activities.
